I Thought Stopping Would Cause A Problem

Just a little more.

It didn’t feel difficult.
So I kept doing.

If I stopped

doing all the little things
I had always done,

something would go wrong.

The timing wouldn’t match.
The food wouldn’t be ready.
Someone might feel uncomfortable.

It felt like

everything depended on it.

So I kept adjusting,

trying to make everything feel
just right.

I thought

that was my role.

Little by little,

I changed myself

to make other people
more comfortable.

Without even noticing.

But It Didn’t

The first time I stopped,

it wasn’t because
I suddenly became confident.

It was because

I couldn’t keep doing it
any longer.

The more I adjusted,

the more adjusting
seemed to be expected.

It never really ended.

So,

I stopped.

Quietly.

And to be honest,

it felt uncomfortable.

I wondered

if I was doing the wrong thing.

I thought

something would happen.

But

nothing happened.

No tension.
No confusion.
No problem.

Just—

room to breathe.

Slowly,

everyone

found their own place.

What we fear

doesn’t always exist in reality.

I Didn’t Explain

I didn’t sit down
and talk about it.

I didn’t say,

“I can’t do this anymore.”

Or,

“I’ve been adjusting too much.”

I didn’t ask
anyone to understand.

I simply
left some things undone.

And waited.

I Didn’t Change Everything

I didn’t stop doing
what was mine.

I simply stopped carrying

what was never mine to carry.

I didn’t ask

anyone to change.

I quietly put down
what I had been carrying
for a very long time.

And kept doing

what was already mine.

It Wasn’t About Control

I wasn’t trying to control the situation.

I wasn’t trying to change the other person.

I wasn’t trying to prove anything.

I simply stopped
carrying what wasn’t mine.

You don’t need to control anything

to stop adjusting.

I Stayed With What Was Simple

What was mine was already enough.

Simple food.
Simple timing.
Simple choices.

I stopped adding more.

I stopped preparing ahead
“just in case.”

I Let Things Be Slightly Incomplete

I stopped

before making it a little nicer.

A little smoother.

A little more perfect.

I looked at what was already there.

And quietly thought,

“This is enough.”

No one seemed to notice
what I had left out.

Perhaps,

I had been the only one
expecting more.

You don’t need perfection

to keep things working.

I Trusted The Moment

I stopped filling every gap
before it appeared.

I stopped solving problems
before they existed.

I stayed with what was happening now.

And responded

only when it was actually needed.

And Nothing Broke

Nothing fell apart.

There was room to breathe.

Slowly,

people found their own rhythm.

Slowly,

everyone found their own place.

Without me holding everything together.

You don’t need to confront.

You don’t need to explain.

You don’t need to make
other people change.

You simply

stop carrying
what isn’t yours.

Quietly.

everyone returns to
what was already theirs.
